Home Base

Highland-Based. Wasatch Front–Wide.

Pine River Construction is based in Highland — and that's not just a detail we put in the footer. Bob Price founded the company here in 2021 after 30+ years in the flooring trade, and his sons Wes, Jay, and Derek live and work in the same Utah County communities you do. When you call for an estimate, you're talking to the family. When the crew shows up, it's the same people you met.

We know Highland's housing stock. Most homes here were built between the mid-1990s and early 2010s — wood-framed construction with hardwood-ready subfloors, builder-grade carpet that's well past its prime, and finished basements that are perfect candidates for waterproof LVP. We've done enough Highland projects to know what the houses need before we walk in the door.

Common Questions

Highland Flooring FAQ

Yes — Highland is our home city. Bob Price founded Pine River Construction here in 2021, and his sons Wes, Jay, and Derek live and work in the area. We serve all of Highland and the surrounding Utah County and Salt Lake County communities.

Most Highland homes were built between the mid-1990s and early 2010s with wood-frame construction — great candidates for solid or engineered hardwood on main and upper levels. Basements are best served by LVP, which handles Utah's humidity swings without cupping or gapping. We assess each room individually during your free estimate.

Hardwood floor installation typically runs $6–$14 per square foot installed depending on species and subfloor condition. LVP installation runs $4.50–$8.50 per square foot. Hardwood refinishing runs $4–$8 per square foot. All estimates are free, written, and itemized — no surprises at billing.

Yes. Squeaky subfloors, water-damaged boards, cupped or buckled hardwood, and winter gapping are among the most common calls we get from Highland homeowners — especially in older wood-framed construction. We diagnose and fix the root cause, not just the surface symptom.

From our Highland base we serve all of Utah County and Salt Lake County — including Alpine, American Fork, Lehi, Draper, South Jordan, Sandy, Salt Lake City, Park City, and Heber City. We do not serve Weber County (Ogden/Layton area) or Davis County.
