Full-Service Flooring in Park City

One Contractor for Every Surface in Your Home

Most Park City homeowners who call us want the same thing: floors, stairs, and millwork that all match, installed by a crew they can trust. That's exactly what Pine River does. Bob Price and his sons Wes, Jay, and Derek install hardwood floors, LVP, custom stair treads, and millwork, often in the same project, so nothing is handed off to a subcontractor and the finish is consistent throughout.

Park City sits at 7,000 feet. Indoor humidity drops well below valley levels in winter. That changes how hardwood is acclimated, which products hold up, and how finishes are applied. We've been working in Summit and Wasatch County long enough to know what works here and what doesn't hold up in a mountain climate.

Mountain Climate Expertise

Why Park City Projects Are Different

7,000-Foot Altitude

Park City's elevation means lower humidity and more extreme temperature swings than valley homes. We build acclimation time and product selection around mountain conditions, not valley assumptions.

Vacation Home Experience

Many of our Summit County clients aren't local. We handle remote consultations, photo-based assessments, written estimates, and scheduling around rental calendars before we ever set foot in the home.

Full Project Under One Roof

Floors, stairs, and millwork in a single quote, single timeline, single crew. No subcontractors. No coordinating between separate contractors hoping the finishes match.

5.0 Google Rating

Every review is earned on a real project. Bob and his sons are the people doing the work, so accountability isn't an abstraction.

Vacation Rentals & Second Homes

Floors That Hold Up to Rental Traffic and Still Look Great in Photos

Vacation rentals need flooring that survives heavy use, wet ski boots, and guests who aren't careful. They also need to photograph well for listing sites, because your floor is in every hero shot.

For high-traffic vacation rentals, we often recommend prefinished hardwood with a UV-cured aluminum oxide finish, or SPC-core LVP with a 20mil or thicker wear layer. Both hold up to rental traffic. The right choice depends on the specific space, subfloor type, and how often the property turns over. We walk through the tradeoffs at the estimate.

  • Durable prefinished hardwood for bedrooms and living areas
  • Waterproof LVP for entries, mudrooms, and below-grade spaces
  • Matched stair treads for a cohesive listing photo
  • Remote scheduling to minimize rental downtime

Common Questions

Flooring Contractor FAQ — Park City & Summit County

Yes. Pine River Construction serves Park City, Deer Valley, Kimball Junction, Jeremy Ranch, Heber City, Midway, and the broader Summit and Wasatch County area. We work on primary residences, ski chalets, vacation rentals, and new construction throughout the mountain communities.

We install hardwood floors (solid and engineered), luxury vinyl plank (LVP), custom stair treads and railing systems, and custom millwork. Many Park City projects include all of these in a single engagement so floors, stairs, and built-ins match throughout the home.

We handle it regularly. We start with a remote consultation using photos and measurements, provide a written estimate, then schedule the in-person visit and work around rental calendars or travel schedules. Bob or one of his sons is the point of contact throughout — you're not passed to a project manager or crew you've never met.

Park City sits at 7,000 feet, where indoor humidity drops well below 20% in winter. Engineered hardwood handles this better than solid due to its dimensional stability. LVP is 100% waterproof and completely unaffected by humidity swings, making it an excellent choice for vacation rentals and below-grade spaces. For primary residences with humidity control, solid white oak and walnut are popular luxury choices.

Yes, and it's the most common way we work in Park City. Doing floors, stair treads, and millwork in a single project means everything is matched, one crew handles the full scope, and there's no coordinating between separate contractors. We provide one quote covering the full project.
